The countryside around Kingswear is superb - the village is situated on the River Dart opposite olde worlde Dartmouth.

The Paignton & Dartmouth Steam Railway is the seven mile long ex-Great Western line along the spectacular coast of Torbay with sea views across Lyme Bay to Portland in Dorset.

Excellently preserved trains approach picturesque Kingswear along the banks of the beautiful River Dart and with super views across the many boats and yachts on the water to Dartmouth.

You may visit Dartmouth via the river boat ferry at the end of the line terminus, and perhaps choose to return via river cruise to Totnes and open top bus to Paignton.
